BBB Classifieds is very new. First goal is getting over the hump and actually start to accumulate some ads. Presently our statistics are showing between 66 to 80 percent of the visitors are bookmarking us. That appears to be a very good sign. What I hope people keep in mind, as we struggle to grow, is that an ad placed on our website will show up in search results.

As mentioned in the General Info page, security was number one. But I also wanted to make a site with no login or registration, cookies... etc. I get ruffled around the edges when I hear that some business corporation has sold or given out personal information to third parties. I don't like it, so why do it to someone else?

What I pray the future holds, is that we will be able to have a successful classified which will generate enough traffic to make it attractive to Business Advertising. This is where the funds would come from for security updates, maintenance, future code development and growth. Not to mention server costs, domain name annual fees and my time. How I would like to handle advertising costs, is the same way I was allowed to design the website; how I would like to be treated. As I am finding out so very quickly, advertising is expensive. But I know it does not need to be so. It wouldn't take very much time or effort to place a banner or advertisement up for someone. So why would I want to allow greed to become involved? (We all see what greed has done for our country.). I know without a doubt, if I am allowed to help someone advertise and develop a successful business or product, then that would help the economy. Too much 'I' thinking and greed... in my humble opinion.

Well, that's pretty much the jest of why the website is the way it is (for now) and where I would like it to go in the future. I would like to also mention that as the site grows, I would like to decrease the ninety (90) day deletion period, eventually down to fifteen (15) days. At present, the ads help give the classified much needed search engine strength to grow. I pray you find this website the safest and easiest classified you've come across. Please enjoy yourself and tell others about the website.
